Angeliki Papadakis is an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its San Francisco office. Ms. Papadakis received her B.A. degree with a major in political science and history from the University of Southern California in 2002, graduating summa cum laude and achieving Dean's List honors for every year of attendance. Ms. Papadakis received her J.D. from the Pepperdine School of Law, Malibu in 2006, graduating cum laude and achieving Dean's List honors for three consecutive years. Ms. Papadakis was also a recipient of the Dean's Merit scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Papadakis was a research assistant to Dean of Student Affairs James Gash and contributed to his 2005 publication. Ms. Papadakis was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and on the editorial board her third year as a literary citation editor.
Ms. Papadakis has experience in the defense of brokerage firms and brokers in cases involving customer complaints. She also has experience defending employers in connection with
claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and related claims. She
has assisted employers in investigations by the Department of Fair Employment and
Housing. She has worked on cases filed before the securities arbitration forums, including the NASD, and the NYSE (now combined into one forum, FINRA). She has also assisted in the representation of parties in commercial disputes before the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Papadakis has advised brokerage firms regarding California's financial elder abuse laws and assisted in the education of their brokers. Ms. Papadakis has also co-authored two publications for the "Employment Litigation" portion of the Annual 2008 & 2009 SIFMA Conference including a "State-By-State Survey" survey of state WARN Act laws and a case survey of significant employment class
action litigation.
