An associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its Long Beach office, Jennifer Meeker is a native of San Diego, where she graduated magna
cum laude from University of California, San Diego with her B.A. in History, and cum laude with her J.D. from University of San Diego. As a law school student, Ms.
Meeker was active in the Criminal Law Society, Women's Law Caucus, and served on
the Moot Court Board, where she organized and competed in her school's moot court
competitions. During her second year of law school, she won Best Overall and Best
Memorial in the Phillip C. Jessup Appellate Moot Court Competition. Ms. Meeker also
received Honors in her first year research and writing class, and the CALI award
for her high academic performance in "Gender and the Law" and "Corrections and Sentencing."
Ms. Meeker has been a member of the California Bar since
2008. Before joining Keesal, Young & Logan, she worked extensively in public
criminal defense. She interned with the Public Defenders of San Diego County, and
worked as a law clerk for a criminal appellate attorney representing indigent appellants.
She is also an active board member of the Jarrett Meeker Foundation, a non-profit
established in memory of her older brother, which raises funds for educational programs
to benefit disadvantaged children of San Diego County.
