Keesal, Young & Logan was honored with a third Distinguished Peer Award from the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), this time for Transformation Project of the Year (under 100 attorneys) in recognition of KYL’s successful innovation initiative, Keesal Propulsion Labs (KP Labs). KYL’s CIO/CISO, Justin Hectus, accepted the award on behalf of the firm this week at ILTACON 2019 in Orlando. KP Labs, a technology and solutions design sister company to KYL, is focused on helping clients build and implement legal and business process automation solutions for legal departments and their internal business clients. Since forming in 2018, KP Labs has worked with leading companies from Wall Street to Silicon Valley to lay the foundation for an automated future, and has built or manages over 120 legal and business process automation workflows for Fortune 500 companies.
KYL’s third ILTA award specifically recognized KP Labs’ co-innovation work across the legal ecosystem with technology partner Mitratech and client NetApp, a Fortune 500 global enterprise whose Legal Operations are led by other leaders in legal tech transformation: Connie Brenton, NetApp’s Chief of Staff and Senior Director of Legal Operations, and Emily Teuben, its Senior Legal Operations Manager.
