Christopher Cammiso is a Senior Associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its Long Beach office. His practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, representing clients in securities, employment, maritime, healthcare, and commercial matters.

Securities
Chris has successfully defended financial firms, registered representatives, and registered investment advisors in judicial and arbitration forums against allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, failure to supervise, unsuitability, churning, elder abuse, fraud, expungement, and violation of federal and state securities laws.

Maritime, Transportation, & Logistics
Chris has experience advising and representing maritime, transportation, and logistics clients on legal matters involving P&I Clubs, Ocean Carriers, Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers, shippers, charterers, and vessel owners in insurance, demurrage, detention, cargo, and personal injury related claims.

Employment
Chris has represented employers in judicial, arbitration, and administrative forums involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, breach of contract, and other employment-related claims.

Healthcare
Chris has represented providers in complex healthcare litigation matters involving the CARES Act, ERISA, and claim reimbursement issues.

Background
Chris received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, with a concentration in corporate law.  While in law school, Chris worked part-time at the country’s largest independent broker-dealer, resolving a wide array of securities complaints.  He also served as a student attorney for the Entrepreneurship Clinic, providing legal assistance to local start-ups and non-profits.  As a member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team, Chris was selected to compete at the Vis Moot in Vienna, where his team advanced to the elimination rounds from a field of nearly 500 schools from across the world.  In his Legal Research & Writing course, Chris earned an award for best oral advocate.

A first-generation college student, Chris received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in English and Philosophy.  He spent a semester studying at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where he also taught English at nearby townships.  Chris worked part-time during undergrad at a construction litigation firm, then an estate planning firm upon graduation, before attending law school on a Dean’s Scholarship.
